Processed foods were not always a staple in the western world, but started to be more widely used in the early 1800’s. At this time, these types of packaged foods were only used once in a while, not like today where the average family will eat processed and packaged foods at almost every meal. What most people don’t know is that these types of foods are loaded with sugars and other horrible “junk” that is downright unhealthy.
Pastas, rice, breads, beans and most heavy grains break down into sugars when they enter your blood stream. If you are eating these types of foods on a daily basis, you are still getting sugar. And sugar has an acid loading affect on the body that can in turn can damage cells and produce many common health conditions.
Think about what you had for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Were these meals prepared with foods that came out of a box, can or bottle? If so, you are not eating real food at all and you are probably getting more sugar than the average body needs in a lifetime. You wonder why you can’t lose weight or why you don’t feel or look healthy? Processed food and hidden sugars are the culprits.
Preparing convenience meals from containers is the normal way to eat nowadays; and pastas, beans and rice are easy to fix in a pinch. Going to the drive through is not a special meal anymore; it’s probably 3 to 4 meals a week on average for some people. This type of destructive eating pattern is what most of us do because we either don’t have the time to cook meals from scratch, or we just don’t feel that eating the right foods could make a difference in how we look and feel.

What you eat really does matter to your overall health because every bite creates the cells in your body.
